My last project: a set of cowls/turtlenecks. Perfect when you’re not a fan of scarfs or wind is blowing under your collar! A very cozy piece that’s hugging neck and shoulders.
To knit those I used size 5 needles. Cowls are made with different kinds of yarn. All of them approx. 200m/100g. Each has a different color, corresponding with every person’s that’s gonna receive its character and personality. construction is simple: collar with 2×2 ribbing knitted until its foldable. Next, I added some stitches for arms and decreased so that front and back flaps are nicely fitted. Let me know in the comments if you would like to know more about how I made this. I will make a post strictly about it!
This violet piece, because it’s coloring makes very interesting stripes. They start showing when getting further with your work. Orange and blue accents make it match almost every outfit!
Beige is a very neutral color and it makes it discreet to wear. Delicate brown accents give it a little kick. This yarn is really soft and warm thanks to a dose of wool and acrylic. And for that reason – it’s not tickly. Personally, I would keep this one for myself.
Special cowl for a special person. The owner is full of good energy and willing to spread it across the world! Colors of the rainbow made such an impact on my niece, that she ordered one for her self. It’s hard to find this kind of colorway in wool so I picked out the 100% acrylic for this one.
Classic black. There’s not much to say. This cowl is dedicated for a man but my customer who have ordered the set decided to keep one of those for herself This proves how versatile the color is.
This is how all the cowls look together. Colorful, neutral and classic. Which type do you like the most? Let me know down in the comments. Also: What do you prefer to wear during the winter around your neck? Scarf, cowl or maybe nothing? I am really interested! Thanks for stopping by!
